Tron funkin blows.

I can't remember the initial seed of this following fractal. I started watching tron clips on YouTube and ended up downloading and watching tron basically three times today. No ritual intended. There wasn't a whole lot going on besides the occasional trapezoid or sequence of colors. It wasn't till I finalized a decent copy of the film then things started coming together.

Tron in one sentence no Wiki needed...

"Tron is a 1982 science fiction film by Disney."

My birth year thus Dog film. A highlight of the similar frequencies for that year make 1/4 sense so far...

"They are compatible with those born in the Years of the Horse, Tiger, and Rabbit. "

My friend for the most time spent goes to a humble, musical archive "Coleman Coil." I leave his last name out and replace it with his nick name geven to him by His sister, my other close(I hope) friend Angie. Coleman Coil looks like the character Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes. Probably one of the only things I enjoyed reading when I was a shorter, healthier alchemist.

Coleman Coil description...

Cole was born in the year of the Tiger. So he 'looked' like Calvin and had an imaginary tiger presiding his presence. Coleman has brought up uroboros lately. He's going so far as to get a tattoo of it. a tattoo with three symbols at play. I'll mention that Mr Cole Coil is not much for discussion on the magical topics but he does listen to a whole lot of music. One genre dominating in his selections would with out question have to be vulgar metal.

His discussion on the topic has left that symbol on the edge of my mind for a while now and I feel the fractal is progressing.

So back to Tron. Tron is connected to a number of things based on simple comparison. It s geometry is simple but square. Making it a timeless movie in my mind. I had no interest to watch this movie as a child. Kinda glad I didn't. To get to the point I will state the basic logos involed. Disney, geometry, video physics, and the core of the art work.

Buena Vista pictures released this film and it will be good to list the notable correlations involving one of the 'Imagineers' behind the scenes of this fabricated fantasy film. I recognized the film type was similar to many of the Disney movies I grew up watching. But strangly one video game came to my mind first. Dragon's Lair. It featured animation created by former Disney animator Don Bluth.

Ahem...Wiki almost feels like flatulence cause I use it so much...Sorry...

"Dragon's Lair is a laserdisc video game published by Cinematronics in 1983. It featured animation created by former Disney animator Don Bluth. Most other games of the era represented the character as a sprite, which consisted of a series of bitmaps displayed in succession. However, due to hardware limitations of the era, artists were greatly restricted in the detail they could achieve using that technique; the resolution, framerate and number of frames were severely constrained. Dragon's Lair overcame those limitations by tapping into the vast storage potential of laserdisc, but imposed other limitations on the actual gameplay.

The game's enormous contrast with other arcade games of the time created a sensation when it appeared, and was played so heavily that many machines often broke due to the strain of overuse. It was also arguably the most successful game on this medium and is aggressively sought after by collectors."

I then went and read up on the laser disk format. The last two movies realeased using the format were two VERY successful Disney contractors.

"The last two titles released in North America were Paramount's Sleepy Hollow and Bringing Out the Dead in 2000."

Jonny Depp and Nic Cage. Now I'd say that's a very square and level edge... if your smoking my brand.

I find it very 'quest'ionable that I can't find much on the game in terms of original content but I'll take anything the universe has made available. Even crappy videos like this.

I take that back. That was one of the most amazing sequences of animation I've ever seen! Don Bluth was one of the chief animators at The Walt Disney Company in the 1970s. In 1979 he tried to fly a different flag with Don Bluth Productions. His style tends toward rougher and more energetic portrayals than that of Disney films, and tend to have a mystical element to them. While watching the Dragon's lair clip I see other films by reading between the geometric lines. I must note that Bluth was behind such works as Sleeping Beauty and The Sword in the Stone which he WAS NOT CREDITED FOR. Much like our starring actor from Tron Jeff Bridges. In the movie JB plays a software designer who, much like Don Bluth, gets uncredited for for his amazing video game creations. Credit being the key word.

"When leaving Disney, Bluth brought several other Disney animators with him to form a rival studio, allegedly upset with how the Disney animated features had "lost their charm" at the time. This new studio demonstrated its ability in its first production, a short film titled Banjo the Woodpile Cat, and this led to work on an animated segment of the live-action film Xanadu (1980)."

And one mystical movie creation that left my mind beyond this reality...

"The studio's first feature-length was animation, The Secret of NIMH (1982),"

I'm gonna guess and say that if your reading this so far you understand the great signifigance of that particular film.

"Teaming up with Rick Dyer, Bluth then created the groundbreaking arcade game Dragon's Lair (1983),"

With these things in mind we can note the time frame involved here and begin to see a enormous pattern.

"His next film would have been an animated version of East of the Sun and West of the Moon, but was never made as the financial resources were drawn back. After teaming up with Spielberg, his next projects instead turned out to be An American Tail (1986) and The Land Before Time (1988), which did well in theaters and became animation classics. Although All Dogs Go to Heaven (1989) only had a moderate theatrical success, it did much better on later Home Video sales, becoming a cult classic. Each of them launched a line of direct-to-video sequels and television spin offs, none of which Bluth had any involvement with.

By the end of the decade and through the 1990s Bluth films such as Rock-a-Doodle, Thumbelina, A Troll in Central Park, and The Pebble and the Penguin were earning much less at the box office."

All of which maintain a 'cult' status in my mind.

Jake's earlier video works highlights Xanadu...

Don Bluth's obvious presence in this following clip

All of this stuff brings me back to Uroburos. It is constantly coming to my attention. I will probably continue to rant about the experiments at CERN. But first I recommend a viewing of Steve Willner's video...

"Ouroboros, CERN, and A Trip Through the Water Door"

That was fantastic... I mean it. That guy... What's his name Bluth.. Has influenced me my whole life, and your the one who let me connect that that was all the same guy. I remember Dragons Lair, and never could figure out how it had such great graphics, they had another one called Space Ace I think... Those things never lasted long, and impossible to find now.

I am thinking that if one "follows his bliss" then he dose what he is meant to do. And he is therefore "used" by the universe or just aligns with what is meant to be... Everything fits together perfectly under these conditions...

Watching those old vids by Willner, and Lotze(opps that's a perfect typo) and reading this post was extraordinarily refreshing.

Peace Love and Thanks

You said it Shaman; I'm gonna go check out some more Wilner vids now...

I was also born in '82; a lot happened that year.

wiki flatulence. nice.

I dont remember much about Tron, but now I'm gonna have to rewatch it, given all this blue-red gnosis flyin around.

and i'll have to remember to check my Calvin & Hobbes collections for synchs.

Interesting that you brought up the chinese zodiac and compatibility, supposedly Dragons (my sign) and Dogs don't get along well! I beg to differ.

I didn't see this in your post, I might have missed it, but Don Bluth also did the character animation for Disney's Robin Hood.

W Scarlet - I looked real hard for original Dragon's Lair content. To no avail. If you or anyone finds anything on that game. Send it to me. Especially videos.

I came to the conclusion that 'The magic of Disney' 'is' Don Bluth. I highly recommend a wiki visit with Mr Bluth. That post flowed like hot water. It was fun and led me to a whole new understanding of my heavily Disney influenced life.

Toure De Sync - Steve is quoted as saying hes sick of movie syncing. I feel he helped build the synchromystic video foundation and we should view his 'older' work as a template for meditation. He said he felt like a transmitter and I feel the same when I'm making videos. It amazing how much my freehand video work seems to 'line up' on its own. Goosebumps.

Tron 2 coming in...2011! Starring my favorite actor Jeff Bridges.

Tommy gun - Correct Robin Hood info. I got some interesting thoughts about Don Bluths animation templates. I may even go so far as to say that they are magical triggers. I have clear to the point evidence of this I'm gonna post soon.

Thanks for reading and contributing

I just updated a thread in the synchro forum with a list of us 1982'ers.

Man I didn't know Don Bluth worked on all my favorite animated movies! I gotta get Secret of NIMH again (and Robin Hood and Sword in the Stone), maybe as an excuse I can buy it for my sisters kids and watch it before they destroy the DVD :D

Your telling me he did Robin Hood too... This is the best day of my life... And it never ends.

As a kid I couldn't get enough of Dragons Lair! Man that brings back some good memories.

I'm currently writing about the movie TROY in relation to the Robin (Hood) and here I find you writing about TRON.

Out of curiosity I did a quick google search for Tron and found this image. Funnily enough the concentric circles make another appearance in my next post. Go figure!

Must check out more of Willners vids after your recommendation.

Great stuff Little Jon!

Oh yes Tron touches most of our 'routine' syncs. Not so much double letter action as there is interesting geometry.

I'm noticing Jeff Bridges interactions with video games now. Jeff's brother Beu Bridges(BB) plays father to The Wizard from the movie starring Fred Savage. Remember that one? That movie introduced me to the stargate theme.

I'm eager to see your post invoking "The Wizard" (if there is to be such a post), and how the stargate appears in it (I'm only familiar with one scene where the big gates open during the competition). I made a post about a wizard today...

Jeff Bridges also appeared in Arachnophobia. JB interacts with 8-rayed creatures who cause chaos in a small town.

Cage & Depp spotting is darkly interesting - two characters who seem to have 'twin' feel to them.

I have played around with the number 4 sometimes for fun & for some reason played with Depp's surname - if you take his surname & mix lightly with the number 4 then D + 4 = H & P minus 4 = L(x2) = Hell which is the movie he made in 2001.
All this may just be lunacy on a Friday night but thought I'd drop it in anyway.
